CDN Expands Educational Reach with Site Visits and Grand Opening of CLC Center in Ghana
In March 2025, the Community Development Network (CDN) made significant strides in its mission to enhance education and bridge the digital divide across Ghana. As part of our continuous efforts to support underserved communities, we embarked on site visits to key locations.
Site visits included:
- Ghana Make A Difference Site (Accra- Cape Coast Road)
- Ali-Chief Memorial (Asharley Botwe, Accra)
- Augustina International School (Ashaiman, Accra)
- Badariya Islamic School (Tamale)
- Ansuarideen Islamic School (Tamale)
- Adabiya Islamic School (Tamale)
These visits allowed us to assess the impact of our ongoing initiatives, engage with students and educators, and identify further opportunities to strengthen learning experiences in these communities.
A major highlight of our journey was the official launch of the CDN Community Learning Center (CLC), a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide students with access to quality educational resources offline.
The CLC Center is fully equipped with:
- CDN Offline Server – Loaded with educational content accessible without an internet connection
- High-Speed Router – To support seamless offline connectivity
- Chromebooks – Modern tools to enhance digital learning
- Projectors – For interactive and engaging classroom experiences
This innovative center serves as a Community Learning Hub, offering students, particularly those in underserved regions, a gateway to offline educational content that they would otherwise struggle to access. By integrating technology into education, CDN is empowering students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
As part of our digital literacy drive, the CLC Center will host an Educational Technology Management Training (ED-TECH) Class. A six-week program designed to equip students with essential digital skills.
Through this training, students will learn:
- Basic computer skills
- File management and document processing
- Effective internet use for research and learning
- Introduction to data handling and analysis
This initiative aligns with CDN's vision of leveraging technology to transform education and empower the next generation with the tools needed for academic excellence and beyond.
